Hi!My name is Snuggly!
I was created at the Build A Bear workshop in South Portland Maine. The First Graders at Greater Portland Christian School visited this store and picked me, a Read Bear because the proceeds from me would go to giving books to children who don't have any.
Next they all took turns stuffing me. They all got to put a heart and a wish in me and then they fluffed me up. After that they picked out my clothes. They chose a soccer outfit because they all love soccer at GPCS. They also picked out PJs for me to take along on my journey.
Then I received my name, Snuggly, and my birth certificate and the whole class recited the Teddy Bear Promise. Then they brought me back to the classroom, and every student brought in the name and address of a friend or relative that lived outside the state of Maine to become one of my host families. They packed up my pj's, toothbrush, journal, and itinerary and sent me on my way.
The boys and girls asked each host family to send back a postcard from their state, to describe my adventures, and to share some information about their home state. We have a large map of the U.S.A. in our classroom to track his travels and display the postcards on.
